Hype Volatility Premium in AI-Linked Structured Products: Evidence from Fixed Coupon Note Pricing Residuals
Huang, Po-Sung (Sinclair) (2026) | SSRN Working Paper No. 6535178 | Posted: April 7, 2026 | Under Review
Using a hand-collected sample of 136 FCN quotes across 8 pricing dates (2020–2026), this paper documents a systematic Hype Volatility Premium in structured products linked to AI-intensive stocks, finding that investors are under-compensated by 2.94%–18.7% relative to fair value, with VIX exerting strong negative effects on pricing margins during market stress.
The Architecture of Leverage: Structural Concentration and Competitive Moats in the AI Compute Supply Chain
Huang, Po-Sung (Sinclair) (2026) | SSRN Working Paper No. 6504361 | Posted: April 1, 2026 | Under Review
Proposes an Irreplaceability Index (IRI) to classify firms across the AI compute supply chain. Analysis shows TSMC, SK Hynix, and Ajinomoto occupy Class A positions whose leverage is visible in customer prepayments, qualification lock-in, and material scarcity. Stress-tests moats against algorithmic compression, HBM demand reversal, geopolitical concentration, and glass substrates.
Patent Topology as a Leading Indicator of AI Drug Discovery Asset Valuation: A Bibliometric and Landscape Analysis
Huang, Po-Sung (Sinclair) (2026) | SSRN Working Paper No. 6487218 | Posted: April 17, 2026 | Approved
Proposes a patent topology framework — Forward Citation Velocity (FCV), IPC Drift Index (IDI), and Assignee Concentration Ratio (ACR) — as prospective leading indicators of AI drug discovery asset valuation events. Results indicate FCV exhibits statistically significant elevation 2–4 quarters prior to licensing, M&A, and venture financing events.
The Innovation Premium Multiplier: How Markets Price Scientific Knowledge in Global Biopharma
Huang, Po-Sung (Sinclair) (2026) | SSRN Working Paper No. 6468118 | Posted: April 16, 2026 | Distributed
Introduces the Innovation Premium Multiplier (IPM) — market capitalisation per unit of forward citation — to quantify how capital markets price scientific knowledge spillovers. Documents a 39-fold IPM gap within global biopharma and proposes three structural explanations: narrative visibility discount, governance geography discount, and asymmetric investor risk preference.
Infrastructure-Led Leading Indicators in Technology Investment Cycles: Evidence from the Semiconductor Industry
Huang, Po-Sung (Sinclair) (2026) | SSRN Working Paper No. 6285318 | Posted: February 22, 2026 | Distributed
Examining infrastructure-based leading indicators as predictive signals for technology investment cycles, with empirical evidence from the semiconductor industry.
